Dear Friends,
We'd like to thank everyone who contributed
to the success of the 14 February Groundcrew Meeting, either
through being part of the organizing crew or through bringing
their personal energy and interest to the event as members
of the audience.
We don't yet have a date for the next meeting,
and we'll post it here as soon as this is decided. In the
meantime, please click on the Resources
button to
the right for all the links that were mentioned in the presentations.
With best wishes,
Ruth Huber and Bill Ryan

• Is
Planet Earth out of danger? Bill Ryan from Project
Camelot describes how many things that were
predicted last year failed to happen, and offers a
personal overview of what the coming year might hold in
store. Were the warnings wrong...
or is our own power of consciousness starting to create real
changes in the world?
• Ruth
Huber [www.ruth-huber.ch],
a spiritual teacher and therapist based in Zürich, asks
these two important questions: Who are we? And how can
we align Spirit, Mind and Body to make a difference in
the world?
• Whatever
happened to the
Swine Flu? Jane Bürgermeister [www.theflucase.com],
who in 2009 did so much to raise public awareness in Europe
by publicizing the dangers of the vaccination program, will
talk about what we might expect in 2010 - and why she feels
there is good reason for optimism.
• Ruth
Frei will talk about a revolutionary process, developed
in Russia, which enables body tissue and even entire organs
to regenerate in a way that seems nothing less than miraculous.
• Jim
Humble, the inventor of MMS, has
spent a few days in Europe, having flown in from Africa where
he is now based. Bill
Ryan met him and
learned what he's been doing for the last twelve months
- and why he had to leave Mexico after the Swine Flu outbreak
there nine months ago.
• The
strength of virtual communities: starting new projects - an
opportunity to network and form co-operative groups. Markus
Rüegg [www.kreative-beziehungen.ch]
will show a short film on a community approach
to the food that we eat that will stimulate discussion about
the benefits of all working together - whatever the future
holds.

A friendly note about our costs:
One or two people have been wondering about
the costs for our events. It's easy to assume that conference
organizers make money from holding meetings like
ours. This is a misconception. As I [Bill Ryan] said right at
the start of
this
interview with Rebecca Jernigan in September: never
organize a conference (a) for fun or (b) to make money. You have to
do it for a different reason than that!
The recent David Icke event needed to sell
460 tickets just to break even - and we eventually sold about
650. Only after 460 was any profit made which we could give
to David and to some of the crew who had been working hard
for months. The ticket price (CHF 85.-) was decided after researching
the prices of tickets for David Icke in cities such as Melbourne,
Phoenix, Amsterdam and Stockholm. We charged the same amount.
The costs of an event
like that are surprisingly large: over CHF 12.000 (for instance)
just for the translators and the headsets. Starticket took
over CHF 3.000! And that is just the start. At the July
Conference (with much lower translation costs and a cheaper
venue), we needed to sell 250 tickets to break even - and in
the end we sold about 310. At each event we were concerned
about whether we would lose money. The Stephen Bassett event
in October actually lost money, after giving Steve a few hundred
francs to cover his train fare and expenses. So no-one is getting
rich from this. Switzerland is an expensive country (things
are cheaper in Vilcabamba!)... and we are charging the least
we can for everything we do, while remaining realistic. Thanks
for understanding this. Bill and Ruth will be happy to answer
questions if you still have any.
